Grupo Nacional Vida Promotes Blood Donation as a Gift of Life

Blood donation is a selfless act that can save lives and significantly contribute to the health of our community. Every time a person donates blood, they become an anonymous hero, offering an invaluable gift that can make the difference between life and death for those in need.

In our country, the need for blood transfusions is constant and can arise in various situations, such as medical emergencies, surgeries, cancer treatments, trauma from accidents, and complications during childbirth. A single donation can help save up to eight lives, highlighting the magnitude of the impact each donor can have.

Blood reserves are essential for hospitals and clinics. The demand is high and often exceeds the availability. Donating regularly helps ensure that there is always enough supply to assist patients in critical moments.

Donating blood is an act of generosity that strengthens community bonds. By doing so, a powerful message is sent about the importance of caring for others and contributing to the well-being of society. In this sense, Grupo Nacional Vida supports regional blood banks in their campaigns throughout the year to collect this vital liquid.

Before Christmas, employees of Grupo Nacional Vida in Trinidad, along with their family members and friends, donated blood to benefit the demanding population in the capital of Beni. The event, called “Navidad Solidaria: Dona Sangre, Regala Vida” (Solidarity Christmas: Donate Blood, Gift of Life), was a success and also raised awareness among the population.

A total of 35 people donated 15,225 ml of blood. All of them were served a snack and given a backpack as a souvenir, in accordance with the agreement established to support the blood banks. In fact, a similar activity in Tarija also encouraged donors with a breakfast. Those who joined the cause know they gave the gift of life.
