In a joint effort to improve nutrition and well-being for vulnerable children and adolescents, Bolivian supermarket chain Hipermaxi has made a significant donation of essential food supplies to several child care centers affiliated with the Archdiocese of Santa Cruz. This initiative was made possible through a partnership with the National Foundation Vida Segura.
The donation benefited the Santa Cruz Children’s Home and other care institutions located in Comarapa, Vallegrande, Montero, San Carlos, and Postrervalle. The delivered items included essential food staples such as rice, noodles, flour, beans, lentils, and salt.

This marks the second solidarity initiative carried out by Hipermaxi under the agreement with Vida Segura.“Through this contribution, we aim to support the nutrition of children living in these institutions and help alleviate their basic needs,” said Bárbara Cronembold, Head of Marketing and Communications at Hipermaxi. “We recognize that nutrition plays a vital role in the physical and emotional development of children and adolescents. As a company committed to social responsibility, we want to contribute not only with food but also with a message of hope.”
Father Henry Mercado, Director of the Santa Cruz Children’s Home, which currently provides shelter, care, and education to 58 children aged 6 to 18, expressed deep appreciation for the donation: “These generous gestures help us meet the children’s basic nutritional needs while also serving as a symbol of encouragement and hope for them and the entire team working to ensure their well-being.” This initiative reaffirms Hipermaxi’s commitment to community development and support for vulnerable populations across Bolivia.
