Gastronomy, art, and solidarity come together in an event benefiting the Hogar de la Paz “Mother Teresa of Calcutta.” It will take place on Wednesday, December 3, at the Chiquitano Hall of Fexpocruz.
Saint Teresa of Calcutta said, “To keep a lamp burning, we must keep putting oil in it.” Inspired by this teaching, the Fundación Nacional Vida is organizing the charity dinner “Let’s Light Up Life,” an event aimed at supporting the noble work of the Missionaries of Charity at the Hogar de la Paz Mother Teresa of Calcutta.
The evening will take place on Wednesday, December 3, at the Chiquitano Hall of Fexpocruz, and it will be a night where art, music, and solidarity come together for a common cause. The program includes a piano concert by the renowned pianist Marianela Aparicio, as well as an art auction organized by Manzana 1, featuring ten works by prominent Bolivian painters. The three-course dinner will be prepared by Chef Santos Coaquira, while the sweet touch of the night will be provided by patisserie chef Yayoi Araujo.
To make this initiative possible, the Foundation has appointed various “Ambassadors of Light,” including personalities and business leaders committed to service and solidarity. They will have the opportunity to purchase a table for ten guests. The cost of participation is Bs 7,000 per table, equivalent to Bs 700 per guest—an investment that allows attendees to enjoy an unforgettable evening while supporting a cause that transforms lives.
José Luis Camacho Miserendino, President of the Foundation’s Board, emphasized that this activity seeks to bring together partnerships and goodwill to strengthen support for the Hogar de la Paz “Mother Teresa of Calcutta,” in line with the institution’s mission to improve the quality of life for Bolivian families. “By joining efforts, we can accomplish wonderful things for the well-being of those who have the least. Giving and helping is part of our duty as human beings,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Executive Director Julio César Caballero noted: “We know that with everyone’s collaboration, we can bring happiness to many people, and what better time to do so than the beautiful season of Christmas? With ‘Let’s Light Up Life,’ we aim to ignite a flame of hope that continues to illuminate the loving and service-oriented work the Missionaries of Charity carry out every day.” The Hogar de la Paz “Mother Teresa of Calcutta” provides invaluable community services through programs that care for abandoned children and elderly adults, offer support for children with intellectual disabilities, operate a daycare for children of single mothers, and run a dining program for families with limited resources.
