Foundation and Santa Cruz Journalists’ Association Join Forces for Social Well-Being

Both institutions will coordinate initiatives focused on social assistance and human development in Santa Cruz.

Julio César Caballero, Executive Director of the Safe Life National Foundation, and Marco Antonio Curi Melgar, President of the Santa Cruz Journalists’ Association (APSC), signed an interinstitutional cooperation agreement aimed at joining efforts to implement projects and activities of common interest, with an emphasis on social assistance, human development, and capacity building.

The agreement, signed in the presence of journalists Cecilia Dorado and Hugo Salvatierra, provides for joint work in the areas of health, sports, culture, and education, in line with the four pillars of action of the Safe Life National Foundation. These initiatives will be carried out based on the principles of mutual respect, trust, transparency, and effective coordination.

The Safe Life National Foundation promotes programs and initiatives aimed at advancing social assistance and human development for children, young people, and adults. Meanwhile, the APSC’s objectives include defending freedom of the press and freedom of expression, promoting open discussion of issues affecting Santa Cruz and the country, and strengthening the journalism profession through training and specialization for its members.

As part of the agreement, both institutions will coordinate efforts to design, implement, and oversee social assistance and human development activities in the department of Santa Cruz. They also agreed to promote the exchange of technical, operational, and strategic information, as well as provide mutual support in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of campaigns and projects.
