Nacional Vida Segura Foundation will contribute to the renovation of the children’s shelter operated by the Fundación José Mercado Aguado, through the Asociación Pro Arte y Cultura (APAC), which operates its offices on the premises of this institution under a lease agreement. The contribution will cover labor costs for the refurbishment of a dormitory and bathroom pavilion.

APAC has taken on the management of this project, aimed at enhancing the quality of life for the 25 children residing at the center, where they also study and prepare for a prosperous future. The institution organizes the International Music Festival “Misiones de Chiquitos” and the Santa Cruz de la Sierra International Theater Festival, among other cultural activities.

Percy Añez Castedo, Chairman of APAC, announced that the refurbishment work will begin in the coming days, with the goal of providing the children with a renewed living space by Christmas. “We decided to undertake this project so that these kids have a comfortable place to sleep, hygienic bathrooms, and showers with hot water,” he stated. “In return, the Fundación José Mercado Aguado will extend our lease, allowing us to continue promoting culture and music in Santa Cruz and throughout Bolivia from these facilities. We’ve received support from many compassionate companies: donations of beds, mattresses, toilets, sinks, water heaters, tiles… And, of course, Nacional Vida has generously provided the funds to pay for the construction work, bringing this dream to reality.”

Through this action, Nacional Vida Segura Foundation reaffirms its commitment to those most in need, particularly its dedication to child welfare. The project initiated by APAC is of vital importance, as it directly impacts the lives of a group of children, and we are wholeheartedly committed to this social responsibility initiative.

In addition, this project aligns with the 2030 Agenda, which has been adopted globally and addresses essential human needs. Nacional Vida Seguros’ financial contribution responds to a local need, supporting two of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): ending poverty (SDG 4) and reducing inequalities (SDG 10).
