The Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital, the Agostino Gemelli Foundation, and the Centro Missionario Medicinali Foundation will collaborate with the Fundación Nacional Vida Segura for the benefit of the most vulnerable population.
The Fundación Nacional Vida Segura has achieved a significant milestone in its mission to improve the health of Bolivia’s most vulnerable population by securing three major agreements in this field. These agreements were made possible through the efforts of Julio César Caballero Moreno, the foundation’s executive director, who established connections with renowned Italian and Vatican institutions.
The partnership with the Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital, located in an area administered by the Holy See, will facilitate various initiatives in collaboration with the ClÃnica Metropolitana de las Américas, a center that is part of the Grupo Nacional Vida. Key aspects of this collaboration include the implementation of telemedicine, specialized medical training in pediatric diseases, and donations of medical equipment.
With the Agostino Gemelli Foundation, which manages the Agostino Gemelli University Hospital, the agreement includes academic programs for Bolivian medical professionals, certified by the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart. Additionally, donations of equipment and medical treatments from this Roman institution are expected to benefit patients in Bolivia.
Finally, the Centro Missionario Medicinali Foundation, based in Florence, has committed to donating cancer treatment medications. This generous donation will significantly improve the quality of life for those suffering from this disease and provide greater hope for recovery.
“We are deeply convinced that these three strategic health alliances, along with a fourth that we are close to finalizing, will have a transformative impact on the lives of Bolivians,” stated Julio César Caballero. These agreements not only reflect the commitment of the Fundación Nacional Vida Segura to public health and well-being but also highlight the importance of international collaboration in achieving common goals.
It is worth noting that Caballero has played a key role in promoting health and development in Bolivia. His experience as an ambassador to the Holy See and his appointment as Head of Office at the Pontifical Commission for Latin America are testaments to his dedication and leadership.
Through these efforts, the Fundación Nacional Vida Segura will continue advancing its mission to safeguard public health, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN’s 2030 Agenda, specifically SDG 3, which aims to ensure healthy lives for all.
