The Foundation Renews Its Commitment to Solidarity with Its Ambassadors of Light

The organization announced an internal blood donation campaign, the free implantation of pacemakers, a concert by Piraí Vaca and Marianela Aparicio, and the second edition of “Encendamos la Vida.”
The Fundación Nacional Vida Segura gathered its Ambassadors of Light at a cocktail event held at the new facilities of Nacional Seguros, with the aim of expressing gratitude for their solidarity and renewing the commitment undertaken during the dinner-concert “Encendamos la Vida,” held last December in support of the Hogar de la Paz Madre Teresa de Calcuta.
Thanks to the dedication of each of them, funds were raised that made it possible, in an initial phase, to purchase food, medicines, blenders, and eight special wheelchairs for the shelter. In the coming weeks, the Foundation will carry out a second donation aimed at repairing the shelter’s roofs, thereby reaffirming its commitment to the well-being of the children and elderly residents.
During the gathering, Julio César Caballero, Executive Director of the Fundación Nacional Vida Segura, presented the results achieved and announced upcoming solidarity initiatives: an internal blood donation campaign alongside Father Mateo; the free implantation of pacemakers in partnership with the Universidad Autónoma Gabriel René Moreno (UAGRM) and the Clínica de Las Américas; a benefit concert featuring pianist Marianela Aparicio and guitarist Piraí Vaca; and, at the end of the year, the second edition of “Encendamos la Vida.”
Caballero also highlighted the valuable support of the gala’s sponsoring companies — which brought together more than 400 attendees — and the success of the art auction organized by Manzana 1 Espacio de Arte. “It was demonstrated that when we join forces, we can achieve great things to improve the quality of life of the most vulnerable,” he stated. He also underscored the significance of the event, which was attended by the Governor of Santa Cruz, Luis Fernando Camacho; the country’s First Lady, María Elena Urquidi; the Apostolic Nuncio to Bolivia, Fermín Emilio Sosa; and the Archbishop of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, René Leigue.
For his part, José Luis Camacho Miserendino, Chairman of the Board, invited attendees to continue engaging in the Foundation’s projects, reminding them that goodness multiplies when built hand in hand with others. “With you, we can consolidate a supportive, generous, and hope-filled community for our city and our department. There is so much to do, so many people who need us, that we cannot — nor do we want to — remain idle,” he emphasized.
