Promoting Mental Health in Bolivia in Partnership with Procosi

29 January, 2025

Recognizing that mental health is a fundamental aspect of society—directly impacting people’s quality of life and their ability to contribute positively to the community—we have partnered with the Programa de Coordinación en Salud Integral (Procosi).

The agreement, signed by José Luis Camacho Miserendino, Chairman of the Board of Nacional Seguros Vida y Salud, and Víctor Elías Terán, Executive Director of the NGO, aims to implement programs and initiatives that promote mental health in Bolivia.

This collaboration will support the training and education of healthcare professionals with a comprehensive and specialized approach to mental health. Additionally, educational and awareness materials on the subject will be developed and distributed.

Procosi is a network of 23 non-governmental organizations committed to building a more equitable and prosperous society. It is under this premise that Nacional Vida Segura Foundation has joined this alliance, which, as José Luis Camacho Miserendino stated, “is designed to combine efforts for the benefit of our population.” Víctor Elías Terán emphasized that there is still much work to be done.

Present at the signing of the agreement was Julio César Caballero, Executive Director of the Foundation, who praised the interinstitutional agreement. The partnership also includes initiatives focused on preventing other diseases and promoting healthy habits among the population.
