The “Save Your Desk” project will benefit schools that still lack the necessary furniture for their students.
With a commitment to strengthening education and promoting initiatives with social impact, the National Safe Life Foundation and the Santa Cruz Federation of Private Business Owners (FEPSC) signed an inter-institutional cooperation agreement to support the “Save Your Desk” project, which transforms recycled materials into school furniture for schools lacking equipment.
“We are going to strengthen schools with the desks we are generously donating,” said Julio César Caballero, executive director of the National Safe Life Foundation, at the opening ceremony where the foundation’s president, José Luis Camacho Miserendino, and the head of FEPSC, Carlos Krutzfeldt Monasterio, formalized the alliance.
The “Save Your Desk” project transforms recycled Tetra Pak containers and metal structures into desks for students in schools that still lack the necessary furniture. Through a financial contribution, the National Safe Life Foundation will help manufacture a new batch of desks, strengthening an initiative that combines environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and support for education.
During the event, Camacho highlighted the Federation’s commitment to children and education, noting that this initiative aligns perfectly with the Foundation’s mission. “With this partnership, we are generating a positive impact on Santa Cruz and Bolivian society. The Foundation will always be involved in projects that contribute to improving people’s quality of life,” he stated.
For his part, Krutzfeldt, accompanied by the FEPSC’s Operations and Projects Manager, Juan Daniel Saucedo Borenstein, emphasized the commitment of Santa Cruz businesses to regional development and reaffirmed the institution’s dedication to promoting initiatives that benefit the population. “As the Federation of Private Business Owners of Santa Cruz, we are convinced that investing in the future of our region means investing in our children through education, health, and nutrition,” he stated.
The alliance between the two institutions will expand the reach of the “Save Your Desk” project, bringing new desks to schools in need and demonstrating that collaboration between the private sector and organizations committed to social welfare can translate into better opportunities for thousands of students in the city of Santa Cruz.
